Location : One mile south of Ten-X Campgrounds (Pay Facility with NO hook-ups), on East side of hwy 64. Good gravel road with free camping permitted in any of numerous pull-offs more than 1/4 mile from hwy. about one mile from hwy on south side of fire road 688 is a gravel storage area with enough level parking to accomadate a fleet of Greyhound busses. Fires permitted unless otherwise posted, Abundance of wildlife with good chance of seeing elk. Experience : worked in Grand Canyon for many years and stayed in this area extensively. Nearly always space available, though larger units are not able to go too fat off main gravel road due to heavy growth of trees and branches across roads. Generally open March through October. Exercise caution during rainy periods as road becomes very muddy. Comments: No comments yet. Submit one if you have been there! |
